Lisbon Alfama Tram
The famous yellow tram climbs a steep cobbled curve through the pastel houses of the Alfama, its pole reaching to the wire as a propeller plane trails a ribbon of cloud over the castle on the hill. Azulejo-tiled walls and terracotta rooftops glow under a rose-pink sky, while a traveller in a trench coat steps toward the open door. Painted in warm flat colour with that sun-bleached vintage railway charm. A piece full of southern light and slow ascent — it belongs somewhere you sip your coffee.
